In Genesis, God works like an artist
Elohim designs, builds, steps back, and calls the work good. Then he rests. Rest rewards a week of labor, not victory in battle.
Work, not war, is the noblest activity.

Genesis 1 makes peace, not war, the natural order. God's model is the architect and artist, and humans are invited to imitate that creative work, something even a conquered people could do.
