A prophet with no accusations
Most prophets list the nation's sins. Second Isaiah makes no demands at all. The only thing asked of a crushed people is that they not give up hope.
Sometimes the most radical message is: don't lose hope.
Dig deeper
The barren, bereaved mother is promised so many children that she'll ask where they all came from. The prophet points to the Creator who stretches out the heavens like a tent and reduces rulers to nothing.
